Professionally Qualified Dolan Residential Care Centers staffing is driven strictly by our residents needs. All caregivers are thoroughly screened through the State of Missouri‘s Family Care Safety registry, which is a compilation of nine different state mandated databases. In addition, personal interviews, reference checks, licenses and certifications are all checked prior to hire.
Our House Managers are either Registered Nurses (RN), or Licensed Pratical Nurses (LPN). Most are licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
The professional caregivers hold various certifications, but most are Certified Nursing Assistants and/or Medication Administration Aides level 1 or, Certified Medication Technicians.
Specialized Training in Alzheimer's Care Dolan Residential Care Centers' Basic Training was developed in conjunction with our local Alzheimer's Association Training department, which all staff completes within the first months of hire. Training covers a broad range of topics including the disease process and creative approaches for positive interventions of resident behaviors. Training supports and promotes a fail-safe attitude and validation therapy as positive and proactive approach for all resident care.
Medical and Therapeutic Services Various professionals are on call or available to our residents depending upon their needs. Physicians who make "house calls". Physical, occupational and speech therapies are all available, as well a podiatrist and beautician. Transportation and dedicated caregiver assistance are available for residents to appointments away from the house.
Staffing Ratios Unlike other facilities, our staffing ratios are far greater than the state required levels. Based upon Dolan Residential Care Centers philosophies of "Aging in place", staffing levels are reviewed on an ongoing basis and are adjusted to ensure the needs of our residents are met.
